House Update

We have had so many of our friends and family come and help. These photos are from the last 3 days. Friday and Saturday we removed all of the red and white tiles from the basement with a blow torch (that was the worst job I have ever ever done) and took the shed off the back of the house thanks to both of our dads help. Today Scott went out of town to California for 4 days, but our progress didn't stop thanks to his parents, Todd and Laurie, Spencer, our Annie and our nieces and nephew who all came to help. It was amazing. We got the back deck torn down and all the trusses on the north section of the roof removed. Sorry Scott no picture of that yet.

House Update

The first thing we did was open up the stairs, I guess they have been blocked for years. Then we gutted the basement. There are cement walls downstairs and there was cement lath and plaster on the walls. That was alot of work. Next we stipped all the sheet rock of the walls and ceiling upstairs. Thanks to all of our helpers. We couldn't do it alone.

Look No Sheet rock upstairs and now no Carport.

The new House

The house doesn't look like much, but we are so excited. Scott and I have a lot of vision. But the house really needs a lot of vision. These are all of the before pictures. Starting at top left.

Camping with the Meikles

We started out our vacation by taking everyone climbing up Logan Canyon. It was so much fun. Scott and I used to do alot of climbing when we lived in Logan. Scott talked me into leading the climb and I made it more than half way up and wimped out. I was so disappointed in myself. I used to lead all the time and I couldn't do it. I was so afraid of falling, well Scott finished leading the climb and then we took turns climbing. I did make it to the top, and my kids probably didn't know the difference, but I did. I was really impressed with my kids, they were not afraid of heights at all. It was a great day.

Canoeing on Tony Grove.

In the Paris Ice Cave

We drove over to Blooming Lake and had a picnic. There was a mommy Moose and her baby.

We went wheeling and Scott let me drive and he spotted. I was nervous because we were in Madilyn's Cruiser and not ours. It was fun. The kids walked with Scott. Steve dented his step side. He was proud, so all was good.
